Dampfnudeln at the Kafer beer tent. A fluffy yeasted dough dumpling drenched in
Vanilla custard and tastes of comfort and childhood memories
(What can I say, it reminded me of my school lunch pudding; a ropy poly cake in custard)
Fish on a stick: Smoked fish at the Fischer Vroni beer tent
Crispy roast pork and Kartoffelknödel (potato dumplings). And beer.

Our Austrian road trip


Local snails, baked in garlic butter and bread crumbs
Deer Schnitzel with mushroom sauce, Spaetzle,
pear cooked in red wind and marmalade
